The Pismo Pier is lots of fun to visit while in Pismo Beach. It is the largest pier in San Luis Obispo County and has beautiful diamond-shaped platforms. Built in 1985, it replaced the 1924 pier. Walk out to the end of the pier and watch the surfers and fishing. Enjoy breathtaking views of Pismo and the coast. Parking is nearby and many of Pismo’s fabulous cafes and restaurants are close to the pier in the small downtown area. Fourth of July celebrations in Pismo date back to the 1880s and the astounding fireworks display shot up in the air from the pier can be seen from all the nearby beach towns. The Pismo Pier is one of the most photographed landmarks in Central California.
